SALIS / AMHL Virtual Conference, April 27 – 29, 2021
Building Back Better in the Post Pandemic World
SALIS/AMHL invites librarians and information professionals in academic, educational, and healthcare settings to submit an abstract for the 5th Joint Conference of the Substance Abuse Librarians and Information Specialists (SALIS) & the Association of Mental Health Librarians (AMHL).
We welcome submissions from our members and others involved in issues related to mental health, behavioral addictions, and alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, opioids, and other drugs, and more broadly, information management.
The theme of this year’s conference centers around Building Back Better. Consider sharing current challenges and the resulting innovative strategies, research, and projects that focus on preserving knowledge and fostering information literacy to reduce vulnerability and build community resilience in the communities we serve.
The conference will be on the Zoom platform and will be recorded.
We are accepting abstracts for the following:
Posters: to be prepared on a PPT slide. Plan a 3-5 minute pre-recorded presentation.
Lightening Talks: 5-10 minute presentations on what’s new, challenges of working during COVID, lessons learned.
Presentations: 30 minutes (20 minutes talk, 10 minutes for questions).
SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT HERE!
By the deadline, March 24.
Note: Due to limited time, there will be fewer presentations than previous years. We are considering a webinar series summer 2021 to extend opportunities for our members to share their work.
